MADISON BENSON

instructor


Madison Benson began dancing at the young age of three and continued extensively training in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary,and hip hop. She grew up competing at various dance competitions around the world winning many titles. At 16 she sparked the eye of top choreographers Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Dave Scott, Cris Judd, Laurie Ann Gibson, and Tyce Diorio. The next year she toured as an assistant alongside those choreographers. During her travels Madison came to the realization that dance was her true passion and would make a career out of it. Since then Madison has been blessed to be in numerous movies such as Pitch Perfect, Big Mommas House 3, Footloose and Crazy for the Boys (coming to theaters soon). She has performed alongside Usher, B.O.B, Selena Gomez and Tyga. She has performed on the American Music Awards and the BET Awards several times. Madison has been seen also in television shows and music videos on nickelodeon, Disney, MTV And BET. Madison wants to continue sharing her passion around the world.

VICTORIA NICHOLSON

INSTRUCTOR


Victoria is a graduate of Columbus High School and has over 15 years of dance training. Recently she was seen on the Springer Opera House stage in their production of 'A Chorus Line' playing the role of Judy, and again in 'Beauty and the Beast' playing the role of a Silly Girl. Her teaching style is fun and enthusiastic, and she is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with all of her students! 

Ashley Ginn

Instructor


Ashley is a recent graduate of Hardaway High School. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and was a member of the PDC Dance Company for 8 years. She has assisted in teaching the Creative Movement and Beginner Jazz classes. She has received multiple scholarships from conventions over the years and traveled to New York City to take classes at Broadway Dance Center. She loves teaching young dancers, helping them grow into beautiful artist who have a strong passion for dance. 

SHANE HALL

OWNER / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


A native to Phenix City, Alabama, Shane has been dancing since the age of 2 training in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. He was a member of the U.S National Tour of the TONY award winning Broadway Musical CATS in the role of the Magical Mr. Mistoffelees. Other credits include: Beauty and the Beast, A Christmas Carol, Peter Pan, White Christmas, and Dr. Doolittle. Locally, he has directed and choreographed productions for the Springer Opera House which include: Little Shop of Horrors, A Chorus Line, & Beauty and the Beast. Shane is a current, active and PROUD member of ACTOR'S EQUITY ASSOCIATION, the world's largest Performing Arts Union and continues to work not only on stage but with choreography and casting in NYC.  




AMANDA BRYAN

INSTRUCTOR

 

Amanda has been an instructor and company choreographer with Prodigy for 8 years winning many regional and national awards and has been recognized as a Top Choreographer for her tap choreography. She is a Native of Harris County and is a mother of 3 boys and 1 girl! Amanda is no stranger to the dance industry as she has been dancing for 31 years, competing for 15 years and been an instructor for over 15 years. Amanda grew up training here in Columbus and Lagrange in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop and was a former studio owner for two years. She was a member of Energy Source National Dance Competition for 4 seasons which is based out of Chicago. 

 

Maiya Mabry

Instructor 


Born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, Maiya has been dancing since the tender age of three years old. Throughout the years she’s explored many genres of dance, but it was jazz, tap, and hip hop that truly won her over. After years of dancing and choreographing for Melissa Williams & her dance ministry, Maiya joined Prodigy Dance Centre’s senior company during it’s first year in 2008. As the studio grew, so did her experience which ultimately led her to become a star member and captain of Valdosta State’s nationally ranked D2 dance team, the Red Hots. After graduating with a business management degree from VSU, she’s been teaching and choreographing at dance studios in Auburn, AL, Tifton, GA and Fitzgerald, GA. Now that she’s back at Prodigy, Maiya can continue to make her imprint on the dance world. Dance is truly her passion and will only continue to take her places as she grows within her craft.


JAIME MOORE

INSTRUCTOR


Jaime Moore is super excited to be joining the Prodigy dance family as a tap instructor this year.  For 22 years, she has shared her love of all genres of dance with dancers of various ages and levels.  Jaime received a degree in Commercial Entertainment from Columbia State in Franklin, TN, which helped her to obtain jobs in demos, music videos and at various theme parks.  Her training began at age 2 at her mother's dance studio in Auburn, AL.  She has been blessed to study from tap legends of old, as well as up and coming legends in the making.  She found her calling for tap choreography at a young age and has worked extensively on developing this gift.  Additionally, her choreography has received numerous accolades, including National titles and Choreography Awards.  Her students have gone on to pursue careers in stage, video, TV, and commercial dance, with her most famous student to date being her niece, Mallory Hagan, Miss America 2013.  Jaime can't wait to make some noise at Prodigy this season!


CURTIS CAUTHEN

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR


Curtis began his training at an early age, and has had the opportunity to work under many influential instructors. Curtis has competed at many regional and national competitions throughout his years of dance education and has been awarded top honors many times, including title recognition among other achievements. In 2001, Curtis had the opportunity to perform in Greece with the World Dance Showcase. He has also had the great fortune to perform on board of the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas cruise line. In 2008, Curtis became a member of the Dance Masters of America organization and now serves on the Board of Directors for Chapter #33 as the Performing Arts Chairman. His choreography has been awarded many top honors on both the regional and national level. Curtis travels all over the South East teaching and choreographing for studios and University’s.
