SENSATION COMPANY INFORMATION:

Sensation is an advanced-level Performing Company made up of 15 talented, well-rounded dancers who represent Prodigy at competitions, conventions and local performances. This company is made up of teen dancers chosen through audition. Dancers must be entering 6th grade to be eligible for Sensation. A high level of commitment is expected of these dancers. Dance will need to be your first priority in order to maintain the level and expectations of Sensation.

SENSATION Involves:

• Choosing dance as a priority over other extracurricular activities

• Attendance to 3 or 4 competitions and 1 convention should we choose

• Classes with guest teachers at Prodigy Dance Centre

• Opportunity to be selected for solos or extra groups etc.

• Participation in Year-End Show

• Weekend rehearsals & weekly classes

• Attendance to Summer Intensive

 

SENSATION Requirements:

• Sensation will participate in 2 base routines and the production routine with the option to be selected for additional groups

• Required to be at the studio a minimum of two days per week taking classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary/lyrical, hip hop and more. Sensation members are required to train a minimum of 7 hours per week.

  • 2 Ballet Classes, 2 Jazz Classes and Contemporary/Lyrical are required

• Approximate Tuition: $230 per month

• Absences – 8 total absences will be allowed. Any more than 8 will result in possible dismissal from the company.

• Guest Teachers: Approximately $25 per class
